Today I'm bringing to you a review on one of my favourite liquid lipstick formulas.
Kat Von D is available via Sephora.com, who recently started shipping to the UK! The brand carries a wide variety of items - including the much hyped Shade and Light Contour palette, and the Shade and Light Eye Contour Palette. The star of the entire brand, however, is definitely their liquid lipsticks.
Each liquid lipstick comes in a long plastic tube, with a swirly tattoo design on one end and topped off by a plastic cap. The tube is clear, so you can definitely see the actual colour that you'll be getting. The name of the lipstick is also listed on the bottom of the tube, and this, along with the tube being clear makes it really easy to identify in my collection. Don't you just hate when you're looking for a colour and you need to check the bottom of every similar tube for the name? You also get 0.22 oz in each tube, which is a lot as compared to the current brands on the market.
The liquid lipsticks feel very light on the lips and glide on with a slight liquid/moussey texture. They set within 15 seconds to a super matte finish. The reason that this is one of my absolute favourite formulations is completely down to the feel on the lips. Kat von D has perfected the formula, and this is the most lightweight, non-drying formula that I've tried. (Shh.. I may have ordered 2 more today).
The colour Bauhau5 is described on the Sephora website as a deep raspberry, and I would definitely have to agree. Its a medium-deep plummy raspberry colour that is perfect for Autumn. It wears on me comfortably for about 4-5 hours, after which I usually have a meal. Usually after the meal, it wears away just on the inside of my lips, but when I reapply it sets like a completely fresh lipstick with no balling up or cracking of the product.
